The Secretary Will Disavow Any Knowledge

Every year, I lie to myself and y'all and say I'm going to do a con report. But this year, I've come to terms with the notion that I just kind of suck at con reports. Suffice it to say, winchestercon was an absolute blast. I got to hang out with a lot of my favorite people (though not for NEARLY long enough), got to meet and hang out with some of my NEW favorite people (though not for nearly long enough) and as hard as I tried, there were still those elusive few favorite people I couldn't quite get face time with. Even so, I had the time of my life. There's a reason Wincon is my favorite convention. Big thanks to coiledsoul, ethrosdemon, tenaciousmetoo, antheia, tjournal. beanside, nilchance and all the other con comm folks for making a great shindig.

The Fiance's computer is fixed! This means I am no longer trapped on the mini-laptop! \o/ The Fiance has also informed me that his end of the project will not be over until mid-November and that he won't be going to Maryland (if at all) until January, since it still falls into the category of "likely but not guaranteed". No word on the job for me, so in a fit of optimism, I signed up for NaNoWriMo. *coughs*

The good news is that I'm working on some more AKB right now. AND I have had vague pronish rumblings from Kink, who has been denying me his smutty favors for some time now. The BAD news is that if/when I do NaNo, I'm going to be working on original stuff (probably that werewolf story I was pondering before) which means progress on AKB will either slow to a trickle or cease entirely through the month of November. You'll still love me, right? *hides*

So, I'll have the next piece of AKB up later today. (You're very lucky; I've had this part done...oh, almost since I started the story, gods help me) However, before y'all get used to this kind of output, I AM going to Wincon at the end of the week. And I don't write well while traveling. So. Nothing from Thursday through Monday at the VERY least. Barring miracles or unprecedented creativity. *petpet* I'm sure that darkrosetiger, telesilla, inlovewithnight, kellifer_fic and epeeblade (and maybe others! *bounce*) will keep you occupied while I'm gone.

I'm probably not going to keep announcing new AKB spin-offs here; if you want to keep up with it, I really recommend watching or joining whatwekeep. People have been really excellent linking through it and there's already so much stuff that I'm amazed. However. kellifer_fic has been delightfully susceptible to my whispers in her ear and wrote And Paid For, which features Jeff, Jensen, Jared and Chad...but a wonderfully evil Milo Ventimiglia and a sinister behind-the-scenes Adrian Pasdar. I am not so secretly hoping for more.

epeeblade posted a really intriguing gen piece here regarding the (or maybe 'a') Catholic stance on the 'verse.
